Nicole Mokeme

Where do you live?: Westbrook, Maine

5 words which describe you:: Explorer, lover, electrifying, enthusiastic, wild

What identities do you use to help others understand who you are?

I am an advocate for ultimate self-love and absolute self-expression.

What are two things that are important to you?

•Cultural acceptance and diversity
•Inner peace

What's one thing you love about your body?

I know it says ONE thing but I must say two things that I love about my body are:

•My yoni! I've experienced trauma in my past and have learned to reconnect with and heal her in the most beautiful way. I now understand that my yoni is my source of power, peace and intuition!

•I love my body's ability to dance freely while communicating inspiration, encouragement and love.

What are some of the challenges of living in your body (if any)?

I don't have many challenges. I'm intune with my body and I love that I can listen to and feel where and when adjustments need to be made.   Oh, wait! I tend to overeat!!

What does radical self-care mean to you?

To me, radical self-care means radical self-love! It means checking in with the self daily. It means connecting with the body and spirit. It means engaging in things that makes one feel divine. It means being compassionate toward others. It means really feeling emotions (good or bad) when they arise. It means speaking authentically. It means standing in one's truth and not diminishing thine own light for the sake of someone else. It means loving one's self wholeheartedly and unconditionally. It means self-acceptance!

What specific practices do you use to support you living in your body in a balanced + powerful way?

•hugging myself
•kissing myself
•self massage
•body brushing
•spending time with people who love and respect me
•hugging people and animals
•spending time outdoors
•walking barefoot outside
•listening to other people
•meditation
•yoga
•dance
•singing
•being nude
•writing
•courageously expressing my feelings
•helping others

Why is embodiment (living powerfully in your body) important to you?

Embodiment is the key to life for me. I have to love myself in order to love others and to make clear decisions for myself. I wake up EVERYDAY with the intention to love. To be love. My super power is my ability to see beauty in all things. Since we gotta be here on this wild and incomprehensible earth, I'm gonna enjoy every frickin' drop of it. That is a choice! That is my choice!

What do/would justice and liberation feel like in your body?

In my body, justice and liberation feels like music and sunshine in my veins! It feels like dancing to my favorite song. It feels like making love. It feels like singing joyfully in the rain!

What's one thing the world can do to support your most POWERFUL embodied liberation?

The world needs you to be you!!! Nothing more, nothing less. Express yourself and all of your greatness. Go after your wildest dreams. Be wild. Be weird. Be true to yourself. In this space we find unconditional love for all!
